Freepik AI Video Generator - All Relevant Video GenAIs In One Tool

Freepik AI Video Generator: The Ultimate Creative Tool

I've re-tested the Freepik AI video generator again after my first test about one year ago. I was not as impressed with Freepik when I reviewed it first, back then it didn't offer video generator capabilities yet, I tested the image creation. But I'm looking up to what the company has managed to do ever since:

Today they combine all relevant models in their super beginner-friendly interface. Also the image generators are among my favorite currently. But let's dive deeper into each of these sections, into the pros and cons and more.

Btw, here is the full video generator comparison with Freepik leading the GenAI pack.

Freepik AI Video Generator: Powerful Creation Suite

Freepik AI has some serious horsepower under their hood. This is also what makes Freepik's AI so special, customers can beat various birds with one stone, as they can access the best models with a single Freepik subscription: Google's Veo 2, MiniMax Reference, Hunyuan v2 Pro, MiniMax Director, Kling 1.6 Pro, Pika 2.0 Ingredients and Runway Gen 3.

I couldn't think of a better selling point for this advanced AI video tool.

Various AI video mode options offer different perspectives, angles and camera movements, with Kling sticking out among them: this Freepik AI video generator allows you to choose between 15 different perspectives.

If you just can't get Hunyuan to do what you want, maybe another tool can? Easily switch back and forth and compare different creations to each other. Each mode supports both image-to-video and text-to-video capabilities, allowing you to produce high-quality, 5-second clips with unparalleled realism.

Google's AI video model Veo 2, developed by Google DeepMind, offers unmatched realism in the footage it produces. It's incredibly fast at creating content with high-quality videos that excel at character-driven scenes with precision and lifelike detail.

Exciting Features of the Freepik AI Video Generator

Sketch feature:

Do you have a more concrete idea you want AI to visualize? Instead of videos from text, you can sketch out what you want the frame to look like. You don't have to be an artist for this to work, just simply choose different elements from a Canva-like design and give the tool enough guidance to get out of it what you want.

Toggle the imagination bar back and forth to adjust how closely the Freepik AI video generator should follow your instructions. Upload an image created with the AI image generator or from your gallery and watch as the latest AI technology transforms it into eye-catching video projects.

The Reimagine feature

This feature lets you re-work your former creations and change details, backgrounds or anything really. Just upload the original image you want to redesign, the AI tool will generate the prompt for you which you can then edit to your liking. Works very nicely as well.

Freepik‘s Image Generation Capabilities

As mentioned before, the Freepik image generator has come a long way and has just recently climbed up in our big AI image generator comparison. The interface has improved significantly but what's even more exciting is the AI-generated pictures. Freepik offers 4 very different approaches if your prompt is rather vague. Refreshing to see that there is no racial bias, this is one of the few tools that didn't generate all protagonists as Caucasians.

Freepik's AI doesn't stop at just creating static images – it can effortlessly animate them through its text-to-video and image-to-video features. The community of AI creators can now immerse their audience with content that features consistent characters across both images and videos.

What a beautiful interpretation of my usual prompt: Create an image of 2 people looking at each other, one being an AI robot, the other a woman. The background is space and the mood is friendly.

Small Glitches:

The lip sync function didn't work for me at all, I kept getting an error message. But to be fair, it is clearly marked as an "experimental" feature, so I expect that the Freepik AI video generator will very soon improve it.

The Sound FX feature is also still in beta, so no surprise that it created quite gibberish background noise rather than sound. Ideally, you'd be able to add sound effects that match your visuals or explore Freepik Tunes' library of AI-generated music to add the perfect soundtrack to your projects.

Cost Comparison Per Video Creation: Freepik vs. Kling

Freepik's AI video generator offers competitive pricing when compared to other AI video tools in the market. Let's break down the cost per video for a standard 5-second clip:

Freepik Premium: Approximately €0.28 per video
Freepik Premium+: Approximately €0.25 per video

These prices make the Freepik AI video generator a pretty sweet deal, especially considering you get access to their entire library of design resources with the subscription.

Now, let's look at how Kling 1.6 stacks up:

Kling 1.6 Standard/Pro/Premier: The cost varies based on video quality and length, but you're looking at about $0.128 to $0.357 per 5-second professional creation. Not too shabby, but Freepik still comes out on top for budget-conscious creators.

Kling 1.6 API: If you're into the techie stuff, the API option will set you back $0.392 to $0.49 per 5-second professional video. A bit pricier, but it might be worth it if you need to integrate the Freepik AI video generator into your workflow.

When you crunch the numbers, Freepik seems to be the more wallet-friendly option for basic video needs. Plus, with that annual subscription, you're getting a whole lot more than just video creation – it's like a buffet of design goodies!

Pros of the Freepik AI Video Generator:

  • The interface is very clean and navigation is exceptionally intuitive, making it perfect for beginners looking to create content with AI tools.

  • It allows for impressive camera movements via the "effects" feature, giving your videos a professional look with options for the type of shots including coastline views and medium speed panning.

  • The image generator has evolved to become one of my current favorites, offering diverse and high-quality outputs with 4K resolution.

  • The ability to access multiple video models under one subscription provides exceptional value for users – Freepik was the first platform to partner with us to debut the most advanced AI video capabilities.

  • The sketch feature offers a unique way to create videos based on your visual ideas rather than just text prompts, with excellent prompt adherence.

  • The reimagine feature makes editing and iterating on your creations seamless and efficient, perfect for social media content creation.

  • The tool shows less racial bias than many competitors, offering more diverse representation in generated content, shaping the future of AI-generated videos.

  • It supports voiceovers in multiple languages with various accent options, though currently the format may need some refinement.

  • Mochi V1 is also exceptionally fast, taking only 5-10 seconds per creation, though it currently supports only image-to-video conversion.

  • The API integration possibilities make it a versatile choice for creators looking to incorporate the Freepik AI video generator into their workflow.
