Prezi Presentations - The Future Of Slide Decks?

Prezi Presentations Review: A Fresh Take

I’ve been exploring presentation tools for a while now, and Prezi has really caught my attention. Its format is different—dynamic, unique, and refreshing. The way it uses AI to create presentations feels like a step into the future. If you’re tired of the same old PowerPoint slides, Prezi might just be what you’re looking for.

Why Trust Me?

I used to be the president of the "International Toastmasters Lisbon," so I’ve seen my fair share of presentations—good and bad. I’ve given speeches in front of audiences and reviewed dozens of others. Presentations are kind of my thing and I watch the presentation market closely. Here on my website I like to share how AI can make our lives easier, so presentation AI is the best of my worlds. Here you can see, that I've tested a lot of tools, and Prezi's presentation design stands out.

What’s So Special About Prezi?

Prezi isn’t your typical presentation tool. It’s been around for 15 years, so they’ve had time to perfect their craft. Their seamless integration of AI impresses me. I've seen too many alternatives to Prezi that struggle with it. What I love most is how futuristic it feels. The way it zooms in and out of slides gives your presentation a cinematic vibe that keeps people engaged.

Create A Presentation With AI

One of my favorite features is Prezi AI, which allows you to generate a full presentation in minutes. All you have to do is just tell Prezi your topic or share a few ideas. I tested it with my usual and simple test prompt, "AI Tools for SMEs". I had just recently tested Canva's presentation software and can therefore draw a direct comparison of the two tools. Prezi's content creation capabilities are much more elaborate. Where Canva has barely scratched the surface of the topic, Prezi dug deep. It created frames (or what other tools refer to as slides) for each section, added elaborate content, and included relevant pictures. for each section, added elaborate content, and included relevant pictures.

My Experience Creating a Keynote Deck

I focused mostly on the Prezi AI feature, and it worked really well. I’ve read some reviews online saying Prezi is hard to use, but I didn’t find that at all. Sure, it’s different from PowerPoint, but that’s what makes it exciting. Stick to the templates Prezi provides, especially if you’re new to it. You can always tweak things to make it your own, but starting with their structure makes the process much smoother and very quick.

A Few Downsides

No tool is perfect, and Prezi has a couple of quirks. I wish there were more color palette options in the Prezi AI generator. Also, if you stray too far from the templates, it can feel a bit overwhelming due to the many options. My advice is to start with their structure, then add your personal touch (which is my advice for almost every AI tool).

Final Thoughts

Prezi is not just another presentation tool—it’s a whole new way of thinking about how to tell your story. If you’re willing to try something different and ditch PowerPoint and Google Slides, Prezi is worth it. It might take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you'll not like PowerPoint anymore.

So, if you’re ready to ditch the boring slides and create something truly unique, give Prezi a shot. It’s quite an experience.
